VIBE The Richmond was until recently B-Side, the small club above Fez Batik. New owners have renovated the place, removing the bar that used to be in the middle of the room and repainting in more neutral tones. It still looks a bit rough, but expect the place to keep changing over coming months. At this point, Friday and Saturday are the only regular nights, focusing mainly on house for now.
VALUE It’s not a high-end place, but you shouldn’t expect drink bargains anywhere in the entertainment district. Cover charge isn’t that big, and no one tried to make me check my coat.
BATHROOMS Big enough for the size of the club, but they weren’t very clean considering that the night wasn’t that busy.
LINEUP You may find yourself waiting downstairs on a busy night in order to keep traffic on the stairs to a minimum. In its former incarnation as B-Side, it didn’t take that many bodies to reach capacity.
