VIBE Filmmaker Atom Egoyan has moved into the bar business, but as you might expect, there’s a cinematic twist. The back room is for screenings of quirky independent films. The bar area is small and quite attractive, with a refined and subtle look. The place is pretty new, so they’re still deciding how the space will evolve, but for now don’t expect DJs or bands, just films and drinking.
VALUE The drink menu has lots of imported and premium items, and the wine list is long and detailed. Even so, drinks aren’t that expensive, but this isn’t a place you go for a bargain-basement night of drinking. No cover, and no coat check.
BATHROOMS Like the rest of the bar, the washrooms are lovingly designed and are some of the most attractive in town (if you care about such things).
LINEUP The place is small enough that capacity could be an issue on busy nights.
