Pick 6ix is coming back as a sports bar

Pick 6ix (33 Yonge, at Wellington) has been awfully quiet for the past few months. The restaurant, a partnership between Drake, OVO’s Chubbs Beezer and Montreal chef Antonio Park, opened last February to middling reviews, staying open until a massive rainstorm caused the restaurant to flood in August

The spot has remained closed since then, causing some to speculate if Pick 6ix would ever be back in action. And it looks like, finally, its return is on the horizon. Set to reopen later this month, the newly-rebranded Pick 6ix Sports “will introduce a brand-new look and feel at 33 Yonge St., creating a contemporary sports bar destination in the heart of the city’s Financial District,” a release reads.

Park’s old menu appears to be gone, with the new spot set to feature “fresh, modern pub fare with a twist” from executive chef Ivan Bailey teased dishes include a signature burger and brisket nachos. The restaurant will also feature new half-price wine bottle and happy hour promos — possibly in response to widespread criticism over Pick 6ix’s menu prices.

While the flat-screen TVs are staying, the renovated restaurant will feature pool tables, a new patio space and a VIP room for private events. The new Pick 6ix will make its debut later this month follow them @pick6ixsports for updates.
