NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN (Alliance, 2007)

The Coen Brothers’ contemporary western thriller picked up four Oscars, including best picture. Javier Bardem’s great villain almost makes up for the non-climax.

BEE MOVIE (DreamWorks, 2007)

Jerry Seinfeld and Renée Zellweger voice an animated comedy about a bee who decides to sue humanity for eating honey.

SLEUTH (Sony, 2007)

Jude Law, who did Michael Caine’s role in the Alfie remake, does the same in the Sleuth remake, with Caine covering Laurence Olivier’s part from the 1972 original.

DAISY KENYON (Fox, 1947)

Otto Preminger directs Joan Crawford, Henry Fonda and Dana Andrews in a melodramatic love triangle.
