You can take the actor out of Toronto, but you can’t take Toronto out of the actor. At TIFF this year, Rachel McAdams told Entertainment Weekly she was looking forward to shooting A Most Wanted Man in Hamburg because it would let her bike around the city. McAdams also snuck away from the festival, where she’d brought Brian DePalma’s goofy Passion and Terrence Malick’s heady To The Wonder, to go vintaging at Bungalow in Kensington Market. Anyone who’s ever ducked into a bookstore between meetings will understand.
