There are actually two Davids: one of them is David Lynch, a long-time proponent of transcendental meditation, and the other is director David Sieveking, a young German filmmaker whose worship of Lynch leads him to pursue TM as a way to bring some order into his chaotic life.

Sieveking soon grows dissatisfied with TM, embarking on a critical investigation of its cult-like hierarchy and effectively stalking Lynch at various events in the U.S. and Germany. If he’d focused on that, and left out all the pointless whining about his romantic troubles with a girlfriend in New York, this would have been a much better documentary. [rssbreak]
