Morning after TIFFs: September 11

So long Soho

The final night of festival parties at Soho House brought our Sarah Gadon and the family Cronenberg (David, Caitlin and Brandon) for the later’s Antiviral party. Bill Murray, Sean Avery, Olivia Williams and Imogen Poots stopped by for one last Grey Goose cocktail too. Word is the club will close for the rest of the week before officially opening on Saturday when, we’re betting, paying members will be spoiled rotten to appease reported complaints that they’ve been kept out all TIFF.

Say no to the dress

Just when I was all ready to award my Most Awkward Sleeves on a TIFF Gown trophy to Kate Hudson and the white McQueen frock she wore on the Reluctant Fundamentalist red carpet, Rachel McAdams showed up at Hugo Boss’ To The Wonder celebration last night. Her off kilter, emerald-hued number was not by the hosting fashion label but Elie Saab and featured a sleeveless right side and a tailored, wrist-length sleeve on the left. Co-star Olga Kurylenko looked much more balanced in her equally green, beaded cocktail dress.

Assorted star sightings

At Tastemakers, the TIFF gifting lounge that started the swag suite trend in Toronto, Monday’s bold face visitors included Aftershock’s Eli Roth, The Lords of Salem’s Rob Zombie with wife Sheri Moon Zombie and musician Adam Cohen who also played Festival Music House‘s opening night at The Mod Club. Down at Volos on Richmond, The Iceman’s Chris Evans, Winona Ryder and (for a split second) Stephen Dorff chowed down on moussaka and ouzo chocolate mousse.
