Our upcoming GOETHE FILMS series examines the global economy in overdrive, the lure of profit and the social impact of corporate appropriation. With recent features and docs from Sundance and the Berlinale – May 5 + 7 + 12.
On the hunt for a top CEO in Houston, Texas, corporate headhunter and alcoholic Clemens Truschka (Ulrich Tukur of “The Lives of Others”) suffers a literal and figurative meltdown while on the job. Clemens’ addiction takes him on a haunting journey into his own darkness, until he meets the similarly lonely Robert Wagner (Garret Dillahunt of “12 Years a Slave”, “No Country for Old Men”).
