The Rainbows are a musical quartet like the Beatles, except with a whole lot more colour. That's how this feel-good Caribbean-made movie is being pushed. The band consists of an African, an Indian, a Caucasian and a Chinese musician. The bigger draw should be the soundtrack, which includes songs by the unofficial Calypso King of the World, the Mighty Sparrow .
Appropriately enough, the film is screening at various Rainbow cinemas around town, including Market Square. Now, that's branding. Opens Friday (September 29). Screened after press time - see review October 2 at www.nowtoronto.com/film.
