There’s a ton of commercial potential for this clever homo take on silly teen sex comedies like American Pie and Porky’s. During their last summer before college, a quartet of horny gay students – the regular guy, the jock, the nerd and the nelly – are determined to lose their (anal) virginity. But who will it be with? The hunky teacher? Survivor’s Richard Hatch ? Each other?
Writer/director Todd Stephens upends (so to speak) all the genre’s clichés with a queer slant. ( Ashlie Atkinson as a cheerleader-magnet bull dyke almost steals the picture.) Look for campy references to everything from The Brady Bunch to Carrie, and amusing cameos by gay icons Scott Thompson (in the Eugene Levy role from the Pie films), Graham Norton and Lypsinka as one nasty Mommie Dearest.
