THE BANGER SISTERS (Bob Dolman)Rating: NN

Rating: NNNNN

The Banger Sisters stars Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon as women who cut a sexual swathe through the L.A. rock scene 30 years ago but whose lives have since taken different paths. Hawn’s Suzette is still living the dream while Sarandon’s Lavinia has become a middle-class Phoenix matron who hides her history from her family. When Hawn shows up in Phoenix as the Queen of Misrule, she turns everyone’s life upside down. The Banger Sisters is very, very uneven, with some genuine comic highs scattered amid predictable and dull moments. It’s interesting to see Hawn in a role that might be her daughter’s character from Almost Famous three decades later, and, on that subject, Sarandon’s second daughter in the film is played by Eva Amurri, who is in fact Sarandon’s daughter. 97 minutes.
