Going Back Home Saturday (April 14), 9 pm, Innis. Rating: NNNN
buildings in ruins — toppled by winds, eaten by fire, shamed by floods. This is the stuff of Louise Bourque’s little hymn to everyday disasters. It’s all rephotographed in vivid, searing yellow and red, and set to tinkling music from somebody’s long-gone childhood. It’s surprisingly affecting, and it moves the title far beyond irony. All this and the film runs just 20 seconds.
