Planes

Who: Trisha Brown Dance Company

Where: Dundee Place, 1 Adelaide East

Why: Local dancers from COBA, Coleman Lemieux Compagnie, the Chimera Project and York U’s dance department work with the Trisha Brown Dance Company to recreate a 1968 performance. Planes’ gravity-defying dancers scale – and fall off – a wall on which is projected a semi-abstract film whose soundtrack is provided by a vacuum cleaner. It’s an opportunity to see an endurance version of an early, infrequently performed work by a troupe that rarely visits Toronto.
