Agnès Varda’s latest personal documentary takes its title from the notion that every person carries a landscape within. In her conception, she holds her beloved beaches of France and California.

The playful reverie she’s constructed around this idea, mixing present-day flights of fancy with archival footage and clips from her films (and those of her late husband, Jacques Demy), is as delightful and moving as anything else she’s produced in the last 10 years.
