THE DUKES OF HAZZARD remake is dumb as a barn door, but too fun to let your mind linger on that. It’s a series of high-octane car chases, explosions, shotgun blasts and kicks in the crotch fastened by a simple story about beating the rich town asshole (Burt Reynolds) before he turns Hazzard, the hickish hometown of cousins Bo and Luke Duke (consummate goofs Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville), into a mine. The charming cast includes Willie Nelson, adorable as wiley Uncle Jesse, and Jessica Simpson, sashaying about as cousin Daisy in the shorts she was born to wear.
