The team behind Embrace Of The Serpent deliver another stunner

From the filmmaking team behind the remarkable Embrace Of The Serpent, this compulsively watchable saga is inspired by true events in the Guajira region of Colombia during the rise of the marijuana export industry (1960-1980) that has rarely, if ever, been caught onscreen.

It’s a carefully constructed epic of a Wayuu family spun out of control as their business expands. Watching it happen is intoxicating the gripping action feels utterly authentic and the actors (a combo of professional and amateur) complex and believable.

Stunning cinematography and music – a combination of traditional instrumentals and contemporaneous pop – contribute in kind.
