If you’re not a big fan of comedy so low-key that almost nothing happens, you’ll probably be bored stiff for the first hour. Ditto if you like your satire with a sharper edge than simple finger-pointing at the dumbing and numbing of America in the name of corporate profits.

In a near future where people are literally exploding from stress, nightmare-plagued office drone George Washington Winsterhammerman (Zach Galifianakis) finally decides to follow his dream, which turns out to be nothing more subversive than romance.
Visioneers is competently shot and acted, but there’s more fun in the making-of doc, not least in watching the writer/director team of brothers Brandon and Jared Drake display the same creepy lack of affect as their hero.
