2PAC

Rating: NN

In John Steinbeck’s Of Mice And Men, Lenny, who’s as strong as he is affectionate, breaks a lady’s neck with his massive hands while stroking her hair. Eminem has a similar relationship with Tupac Shakur. Marshall loves Pac so much that he’s parlayed his immense clout into producing the thug legend’s ninth posthumous album. 2Pac’s too dead to have any say in the homogeneous production and terrible signature flourishes (Elton John and Dido samples, guest appearances from Obie and G-Unit, and whiny, nasal, multilayered Shady-sung choruses) that have been forced on him. But when Eminem’s time comes, he’s gonna get the ass-beating of his afterlife for this one.
