Just because you wrote off the Indigo Girls after Closer To Fine was played for the umpteenth time around the campfire doesn't mean you should dismiss everything this duo - or at least the individual members - creates.
Singer Amy Ray's third solo disc is a solid collection of mostly indie-sounding rock.
She channels Apples in Stereo on the poppy Cold Shoulder and the Beach Boys on Who Sold The Gun, while most of the other tracks are equally fun. She still sings about issues near to her heart - living in a straight world, the war in Iraq - and still plays songs no one would object to hearing around that campfire.
Amy Ray plays the Mod Club on November 4.
