No, this isn't the new studio album from OutKast's André Benjamin. Whole Foods is instead a mixtape of remixes, alternate takes, half-finished demos and collaborations, as well as tracks that for some reason (sample clearance issues perhaps) never appeared on the albums for which they were intended.
The inclusion of hot remixes of Dirty South dance-floor destroyers like Unk's Walk It Out and Richy Boy's Throw Some D's is reason enough for some people to grab the disc. And there are other interesting oddball numbers, like the chart-angling Long Way To Go, with Gwen Stefani, the promo-only Jungle Book tune sung by Esthero, a Millionaire remix with Kelis and one certified club banger, Boogie Man, showcasing the growling Big Gipp.
It's not an entirely professional mix job, and some of the tracks fade out in what seem like arbitrary places. But Whole Foods helps fill in the gaps for obsessive OutKast completists.
