Pissed with the state of the world, System of a Down’s Serj Tankian rang up his rock pals, put on a big concert in L.A. and blasted out “protest songs” from U2, Dylan and Bob Marley. And that’s great – it was probably a wicked show. I mean, shit, check out this lineup: Flea, Tom Morello, Chris fucking Cornell, er, Pete Yorn. OK, Yorn is a wuss, but the rest of these dudes know how to rock. So why are the performances so shoddy? And where the hell is the Boss? And furthermore, what exactly is the Axis of Justice? Isn’t that, like, a comic book? Approach with caution.
