Man, what a downer. After giving a voice to disenchanted and lovelorn youth the world over, the boys in Blink are going on "indefinite hiatus," but damned if that'll stop them from releasing a quickie greatest-hits CD just in time for the holidays. You won't find any insightful liner notes here (there's barely even a message from the band), just all the songs you've heard a thousand times on the radio. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Blink's popularity stems from the fact that they write some seriously catchy tunes, and songs like What's My Age Again and Adam's Song are just as memorable now as they were back in the day. But with only two unreleased tracks as an incentive to buy, Greatest Hits is a fairly useless - and almost insulting - package for fans.
