If you like crunchy but inventive pop punk, look no further than Boys Night Out. Arising from Burlington's pop punk scene in 2002, this five-piece has been one of the few bands from suburban Ontario to actually create something worth talking about. Like their previous records, their third full-length is loaded with melodic guitars, rapid tempos and loud, intense vocals. But while some of their cohorts stick to the same bland formula, Boys Night Out aren't afraid to shift genres. They seamlessly move from straight-up hardcore or punk to more traditional rock all over this record, and there's no shortage of fist-pumping anthems.
Boys Night Out play the Reverb June 28.
