This all-Cancon comp opens with MC Flipside asking, Remember the first time you took a hit? You loved the feeling, it was the shit. His humourless, overly earnest faux conviction coupled with his lame-ass weed reference is ridiculous, embarrassing and totally cringe-worthy.
Listening to the rest of this 14-song disc in my bedroom feels totally absurd. The pulsating beats, repetitive chords and stupid lyrics make me feel like I should be peaking on E at the Comfort Zone at 6 am or getting a $400 haircut at some uber-trendy salon. Ironically, home is about the last place I want to hear house music.
