For much the same reason that Saturday Night Live skits don’t work as feature-length films, Canned Hamm’s Euro-disco parody Erotic Thriller is too much of a kooky thing that quickly turns from tiresome into annoying. Part of the problem with Canned Hamm’s bad-bellowing put-on is that anyone who now wants to be entertained by horrible singers in corny costumes can just turn on American or Canadian Idol and see people do it for real. Canned Hamm have been rendered irrelevant.
