Live albums and greatest-hits records can often be one and the same, but not Damien Rice’s third release. This live disc was recorded in 2003, before he released the popular 9. That means most of the original music here is from his debut.
While not representative of his catalogue, the album is still a good listen in which Rice’s emotive, pared-down sounds really come through. Delicate, the opener on this album and on O, is a quiet, introspective affair; you can feel the audience hanging on every word.
