One of the rappers from the almost forgotten Northern Touch single, Monolith associate Dan-E-O has had a hard time maintaining his profile in a Canadian music scene with enough room for only a few MCs. He deserves respect for this, his second outing. Each of the 14 songs here showcases well-executed verses that reek of hunger and confidence. Although the production and choruses vary in quality, more often than not both gel. Add good appearances from IRS and Nish Rawks and you’ve got good times, even if the phone messages that break up the record are odd – particularly the one with the Stone Cold Steve Austin impersonator.
