San Francisco-based deep house DJ David Harness has just released a new mix CD of soulful funky house. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a good fun mix that’s not so deep that it puts you to sleep, yet it’s also not so banging that you feel weird listening to it in the daytime. There’s nothing terribly exciting going on technically, which is fine, as the mix is much more about a good selection of strong songs. It’s for listeners who like their house music melodic and soulful and prefer their vocals somewhere between screaming diva and whispering Sade wannabe.
