Raconteur Jaymz Bee is the life of the party, as anyone who's stood five minutes in his paisley circle can confirm. Few take kitsch to higher -- make that almost religious -- levels, so it's not exactly surprising to discover that the same applies to his music.
Life Of The Party is a kooky, technicolour lounge-track propped up by Bee's usual massive, the Royal Jelly Orchestra, who revere Burt Bacharach as they do polyester. There's method to the madness, though, particularly in their straight-faced read of Spooky and a correctly cornball take on Born To Be Wild. The originals, meanwhile, cleave to the shagadelic. Bring on the Stoli.
