In accordance with her contractual obligations to the Lord, Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams drops her second gospel album, Do You Know, or, as I think it should be called, Crazy In Love With Jesus. Williams, best remembered singing about movin’ your body up and down and makin’ your booty touch the ground, has a sweet little voice that pops and cracks like an old 45. Her tepid production and reliance on mid-tempo numbers don’t exactly take you to church with the our-souls-depend-on-faith! urgency of Kirk Franklin, though. Do You Know may, however, take you to a heavenly post-church nap or a seniors’ dance in the church basement.
