Discs: BIGDUMBFACE

Rating: N

No one is suggesting that Fred Durst has any taste. But it’s unlikely that if the 30-year-old multi-millionaire rebel weren’t working with Wes Borland, the monkey-faced Limp Bizkit guitarist fronting BIGdumbFACE, he’d have agreed to release this mess on his Flip imprint.

While it is amusing to imagine baseball-cap-wearing Bizkit fans checking out the painfully amateurish Duke Lion Fights The Terror, looking for a bit of shouted angst and getting Mr. Bungle in return, the joke’s not worth it. Borland sings in funny voices, gets vaguely artsy and includes a song called Mighty Pen Is Laser. Get it — Pen Is? You have got to be joking. Expect the worst when BIGdumbFACE play the Guvernment April 7.
