Few have the credentials of Steve Fisk. Known both for his work in Pell Mell and Pidgeonhed and as a producer of Screaming Trees, among piles of others, what Fisk doesn't know about studios and recording can fit on the head of a pin. So it's hardly surprising that on 990 Levels Of Undo the slightly mysterious Pacific Northwesterner goes for an ambient/electronica smorgasbord that angles to use every gizmo in the shop. Hence, all manner of tics and bizarre burps of sound in what must have been a feat of editing. While it's hard to recommend across the board, those into plinky, stuttering instrumentals with a very big brain can't go wrong.
