Until I read about these locals' ambition to "break open the noise-stigma and take the revolution aboveground," I hadn't realized that noise music was being stigmatized and suppressed into a subterranean scene. I have to wonder if groups like Disguises, who release nine cuts of off-time clanking, distorted wails, frequency drone and other discomforting sounds of industrial machinery and pain, are the reason. Nevertheless, there is creativity in the sound compilation here. Whether you'll find this sort of art a pleasurable auditory experience can only be determined by listening to it yourself. The only aspect I can comment on with any authority is that there's some really cool space-lab imagery here.
