Even though Duran Duran continued to release albums from 1993-2003, nobody gave them much thought. Now they're, like, constantly in yer face, and just in case you're not Duran-ed out, here's a greatest-hits comp. I'm one of those people who could live without Ordinary World and Come Undone, the major hits off The Wedding Album, which were so overplayed at the time that 12 years later I'm still not ready to hear them again. And who wants uninspired tracks like Electric Barbarella and Serious? That leaves a handful of classics like Wild Boys, Rio and Save A Prayer, most of which I already own in multiple formats. If you're like me, you probably don't need this album, but it's an extensive must-have collection for anyone who's not a nostalgic teen Duran fan. And the DVD of videos is a bonus: 20 years after Girls On Film was released, even the censored version feels risqué and bizarre.
Duran Duran play the Air Canada Centre Tuesday (April 5).
