If you’re looking for moody, atmospheric indie rock about dead people, there’s nothing better out there than the Eulogies’ self-titled debut. The Californian trio has crafted a beautiful record filled with quiet, reverb-soaked vocals and subtle, distorted guitars, all while maintaining a strong pop sensibility.
Lyrically, this disc isn’t necessarily about dead people, though their name, haunting tales about lost love and grey art work make it hard not to think of the netherworld. The music, though, won’t perish any time soon.
