The vocals on Art Damage rely heavily on scorched, pained screams in front of a kind of Locust-influenced metallic skronk-punk that remains cohesively jarring throughout. It’s off-kilter and creative, the vocals are occasionally coherent, and the band even provides brief moments of peace in the chaos. Art Damage is mainly geared toward people previously attuned to this particular frequency of rock, but that audience seems to be growing daily, and this release reveals a band with skills.
