A gentle, harmless, kind of square offering from Five for Fighting and singer/songwriter John Ondrasik. But what did you expect after the harmless, gentle, kind of square hit single Superman? He’s dying and he can’t live without you and, you know, heaven fell from the sky tonight. Even when Ondrasik kicks it up a bit and raunches up his voice, this collection of love songs, stories, laments and meanderings never goes anywhere beyond alternative lite. It’s catchy, though, and nicely structured.
