Toronto's Fucked Up, like much good Ontarian hardcore, are respected worldwide, and this compilation album, grudgingly released on CD by the vinyl-preferring outfit, basically rules. The band shreds shit, thanks to the raw radness of the guitar and bass. Their sound is the kind of timeless, correctly executed harshcore with muffled vocals that is all the rage for all the right reasons. I couldn't find a track listing, but this disc ranges from live radio station appearances and demos all the way to their more hi-fi forays into prestigious fancy recording studios. There are many happily touring punk locals who go unnoticed by those not in the scene's midst, and more hometown attention should be be paid to them.
