Here’s some moody, brooding IDM from upstart French-Canadian producer Charles-…mile Beullac. He’s eschewed the current fad of glitch sample manipulation and made Nothing Down-To-Earth completely through synthesis. The album has already received glowing reviews throughout the experimental electronic music scene for it’s original palette of sounds and ideas. Interestingly, he’s still able to reproduce many of the sample-mangling techniques made famous by the likes of Autechre without resorting to a laptop.
