Did you ever wonder what songs like Pink’s Trouble, Kelly Clarkson’s almost-dirge Low, and J.Lo’s I’m Glad sounded like without music videos to walk your brain through the gamut of emotions that the songs elicit? I hadn’t until I heard this CD, a third compilation of previously available compositions by 18 female tunemakers, all in an effort to help fight breast cancer. Canadiana-wise, Amanda Marshall, Chantal Kreviazuk, Celine Dion(a horrific entry that sounds like Jessica Holmes handled vocals) and Audrey De Montigny all make appearances. There’s also an ear-burningly painful Jessica Simpson song. Worth getting if you want to support a good cause and have access to Crazy In Love and a schmorgasbord of other popular tunes by ladies simultaneously.
