Greens Keepers James Curd and Nick Maurer are based in Chicago and have been making a name for themselves with their odd swing-house singles for a little while now. Their debut album is a concept disc framed around an imaginary radio show meant to tie together this collection of singles, collaborations and a few tracks that feature neither of them. The best moments are inspiring, but there’s a distressing tendency toward the silly, and Curd and Maurer tackle so many different genres that it would be surprising if any one person liked the entire disc.
