Ottawa pure-pop combo Hennessey prefer things bright, catchy and melodic. Their aptly titled Life On AM Radio disc is predictably bubbly — there’s darkness only in the undercurrents, and every track could be sliced off and slapped on said radio without any kind of tweaking. There may be a tendency to dismiss something so chirpy as lightweight, but Hennessey live are a contender. So much the better.
