Howie B conceptualized his newest album as a soundtrack for an imaginary film. Sounds a little familiar, eh? We all thought that was a good idea for spacey instrumentals at one point, but let’s face it – now it seems less fresh than that Tupperware container at the back of the fridge none of your roommates will open. Some might remember Howie B from his work with U2, Björk and Massive Attack, and in many ways this is a more contemporary-sounding expression of the musical ideas we’ve heard from him before. The production is decent for the most part, but no matter how many times I listen to this, it never gets past the point of aural wallpaper.
