Helsinki’s Huoratron (pronounced whore-atron) incorporates his last two EPs in this seven-song prelude to his forthcoming full-length release on Last Gang. His sound is unrelentingly harsh electro – pounding and engrossing, with an ominous undercurrent. It’s a little hard to sit through, especially by the time you reach older cuts like Troopers and Trolls.

The provocative, demonic video for the lead single, Corporate Occult, has made the YouTube rounds lately, and it retains its eerieness even without the visuals. An accompanying remix by Mixhell sees the same track flipped and blended with a sample of ESG’s UFO to great effect, while Gbay, one of the new B-sides, sits somewhere between early Chemical Brothers and a hard house tune.
