SHERWOOD Deadman High (ishaudio) Rating: NNN
When Toronto singer/songwriter Isherwood hits the high notes, he evokes a vision of Bowie during his cool Young Americans period. Tight, groovy beats with pop-happy catchy choruses and slick production help make this an album to chill out to on a Saturday night. It's like a soundtrack to cool people's lives, as the single Good Friday easily demonstrates. But for all the glitz, it's when Isherwood takes the rockabilly route on the excellent All Made Up that he whistles his way into your heart.
