Brought together for MTV’s Ultimate Mash-ups program, Jay-Z and Linkin Park – who wouldn’t otherwise be seen in the same place – try to square-peg the Jigga’s recited rhymes from Dirt Off Your Shoulder, 99 Problems, Big Pimpin’ and Izzo into Linkin Park’s chugging jams. Seems like a huge waste of time and energy, seeing as there’s software that could do the same thing more effectively. Instead, they should’ve locked them in a room, made them try to create six new songs from scratch and filmed the ensuing arguments and fist fights.
