Calgary isn’t exactly known for being an underground party town, but somehow Jon Delerious has transcended our perceptions of the Prairies and emerged as one of Canada’s up-and-coming house DJ/producers. Although the sound of his debut album is rooted in the mellow, dubby West Coast vibe, it mixes in some acidic touches here and there. A nice, classy house album, but it’s lacking the big tune that would make it truly memorable.
