KRS-One

Rating: NN

That KRS-One feels the need to record a track like (You Got) Phucked and release it as the lead single from his disappointing Keep Right disc shows how desperate for attention the once dominating MC has become. He fell off hard with his religious rap gambit Spiritual Minded in 2002, and the ridiculously lame beats provided for Keep Right by the less than celebrated cast of producers – most of whom prefer not to use their real names – aren’t going to put him back on top of the game. Judging by all the Blastmaster’s preaching and proselytizing from the Temple of Hiphop’s pulpit, he still hasn’t figured out that many people don’t enjoy being lectured by a former rap star with a messiah complex.
