Is it just me or does the very idea of sampling seem boring in 2005? Maybe I'm just bitchy after floating through this third LP from chillin' British duo Lemon Jelly. Filled with smoky breaks and spotless quirk-tronica, this is one of those records that even square ex-ravers with jobs in IT won't find interesting. Electronic music works when it pushes boundaries, and despite the brilliant CD jacket, this stuff has no personality. With the exception of the Orb-biting Don't Stop Now and the Röyksopp vibe of Stay With You, this sounds like the music Sting would make if he ditched yoga and bought a sampler.
