LeToya’s best known for being one of the girls who got dumped from Destiny’s Child after claiming that Beyoncé’s dad, group manager Mathew Knowles, was ripping her and LaTavia off. Now, after years out of the spotlight, she’s back… with a really boring solo disc. Flip-flopping between spineless ballad dreck and uptempo gangsta-inflected club jams (which are equally monotonous), the new LeToya is a wellspring of clichés about kissing you better than your girl and wanting to get to know you, boy. And I’m just, like, sorry, LeToya, but your album really tired me out. Maybe another time?
